Prison Ministry

“Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel

to every creature”

(Mark 16:15 KJV)

Templo De La Cruz’s Prison Ministry shares the love of Jesus Christ with men and women at Santa Rita Jail.

Visits are scheduled for the first Sunday and fourth Friday of every month.

Ministry opportunities: Numerous opportunities are available for those who wish to become involved in prison ministry. If you are interested in Prison Ministry please contact brother Jeff Boggess at brojeff247@yahoo.com

Our mission is to:

Encourage volunteers, ministries, and churches, to join in the effort to positively impact our local prison system.

Assist prison chaplains and officials in addressing the key factors leading to crime – moral issues, education, skills, and relationships.

Impact and change the lives of inmates by introducing them to the life-changing message of Jesus Christ.

Ultimately reduce the number of inmates who return to a life of crime after incarceration (currently more than two-thirds of released inmates)

We Believe

As Christians, we have a responsibility to our namesake (Luke 6:46), and should live moral and decent lives that are above reproach! In this rapidly changing and decaying world, we want to shine as lights of the Gospel (Matthew 5:16), reflecting the purity and power of our Savior and Lord. We have no wish to promote ourselves, but rather to point to Christ as the only safe harbor in the midst of life’s stormy seas. And we teach that nothing is impossible for those who truly seek to do God’s will (Luke 1:37 and Mark 11:22-24), in accordance with His Holy direction and purpose (1 John 5:14).
